Description
Trading Strategy
The system can trade on any time frame, but the author suggests trading on the H1 timeframe.
- At 4 a.m. Vietnam time, open the H1 chart for the USDJPY pair. If there are still widened spreads at 4 a.m., you can wait until 7 a.m. when the spreads have returned to normal. (Note: the time zone referred to here is Vietnam time.)
- Identify the high and low prices of the previous 17 candles (from 11 a.m. of the previous day).
- Place 6 pending orders (for each pair) consisting of 3 BUY STOP orders and 3 SELL STOP orders that will expire in 18 hours. Specifically, as follows:
Buy Stop orders:
- Entry point = High price + 5 pips, Take Profit = 15 pips, Stop Loss = 30 pips
- Entry point = High price + 5 pips, Take Profit = 30 pips, Stop Loss = 30 pips
- Entry point = High price + 5 pips, Take Profit = 50 pips, Stop Loss = 30 pips
Sell Stop orders:
- Entry point = Low price – 5 pips, Take Profit = 15 pips, Stop Loss = 30 pips
- Entry point = Low price – 5 pips, Take Profit = 30 pips, Stop Loss = 30 pips
- Entry point = Low price – 5 pips, Take Profit = 50 pips, Stop Loss = 30 pips
Setting up entry conditions
This system trades on the H1 timeframe, and 18 hours is equivalent to 18 H1 candles, so there are many ways to set it up. In this configuration, the Entry Type is set to Pending Order (Candle Expiration).
If you want to use a different time frame, you can change it to Pending Order (No Expiration) and apply the function to cancel orders outside of trading hours (in the Pending Order settings tab) or use Pending Order (Time Expiration) with a cancellation time set to 21:00.
Setting up Volume, SL/TP
This system applies the order splitting function within Giga.
Setting up Trading Time, Pending Orders, and Open Trades
The system only trades during the Asian session and keeps the orders for 18 hours. Convert the VN time from 7 a.m. to the server time of the broker, which is 3 a.m., and the trading session ends at 9 p.m.
If you want to cancel a pending Buy order when a Sell order is executed (and vice versa), you can use the One Cancels Others function.
The remaining parameters and options are left as default.
Due to the Single Shot system, only the Standard Action is used.
